waiting for the snowstorm

We are expecting around 2 feet of snow today and tomorrow.. I will be stuck in the house all weekend but I am being positive about it. I have some new Wii games to learn how to play, lots of Alanon literature to read and of course there is always Lifetime tv.

I wanted to share that I got to see my granddaughter's 4D ultrasound via the computer this morning. My son and dil live in Japan so we have not been able to be a part of this pregnancy. She is due 4/1/10. The ultrasound was fantastic. She was facing forward and we actually got to see what she looks like. I think that no matter what happens in my life today this smile will not leave my face.

Thank you God for this technology. We will leave for Japan on 4/17.

Gail

Aloha Gailey...Going to Japan to be at the birth of your Grandaughter is what I call
a real "attended" birth.   She will be warmly welcomed.   ((((hugs)))) smile

Enjoy being snowbound - I miss that living here in AZ. And congratulations on seeing your granddaughter's ultra-sound.

Hi from snowy Scotland Gail. Keep warm while looking forward to your trip to Japan. Grand-daughters are great.............mine is almost 3.........I first saw her on an ultrasound via the web also, brilliant isnt it......... and a few months later was privileged to rub my daughters back in the birthing pool (but made a hasty exit when push came to shove).......Apologies to you guys here!!!

Look forward to the April update.

(((((gailey))))

We have just dug out from over three feet (really closer to 4 feet) here in my part of Arizona. That makes three winters in a row with exceptional storms. I have to say that after five years of being alone (my AHsober left the marriage), I have been totally prepared for the storms and being snowed in. My sons have helped with the wood. My niece's husband brought more wood. My brother gave me a load of wood for my birthday lol. I stocked up on the necessities (coffee and chocolate). I got my x country skiies ready. It is work but it is beautiful.

I have my down days. I miss my sons (all grown) but I know I have to let them soar. My greatest joy is my two grandchildren when I do see them. All the best with yours.

In support,
Nancy

PS I bought a 4 wheel drive to be able to get out of my driveway. My decision, my money, the best thing I ever did.

Holy Moly - thats tons of snow!!!  So KEWL to hear you get ready for it so you can enjoy and wait for the backside.

We got 5 inches yesterday and are to get another 5 or so Sunday night/Monday morning.  But - this is peanuts compared to what you got.

((((hugs))))) to you - and Lifetime is a great tool!!! biggrin
