Under the Influence.

No not a post...a title of a book that I don't remember mentioning to this fellowship.
Under the Influence is one of the text we used in the college in went to and to study
alcoholism and addictions. (Didn't trust the program to be complete with me...wrong!!)
Any how it is a masterpiece by Dr. James R. Milam and Katherine Ketcham.  Have any
of you read it.   I lent it out and just got it back and am dipping into it again.  If you
want to understand the disease of alcoholism this is the most highly acclaimed text
available.  I am sure Amazon and others have it on hand.

Understanding helps to calm the waters.

Yes, I read the book several times.  I encourage others to read it, too.

When I split with my husband two years ago, I gave each of his family members a copy.  I bet not one read even a chapter.  The books are properly sitting somewhere gathering dust.

Great book Jerry, one of the first ones I bought and I now also recommend to others. The Ason thinks its great too he can practically  quote it page for page as he carries on killing himself with drink....work that one out! no.gif
