I posted a couple of days ago.....What would you do (regarding giving our son a replacement phone)....and you all reinforced what I knew would be my (read on!) decision.
Yesterday husb asked when we were going to send Ason the phone........aaaarrrrrrghhh!! I explained I had been giving it much thought, had run it past you guys and my f2f buddies, and he listened and said.... I still think he should have it......so I suggested that maybe we both think about it a bit longer and then well discuss it again.
So I am finding more and more how much is being revealed to me through working this programme and Im grateful that my husband will at least listen to my 'Al-anon' input and be willing to discuss the fors and againsts.....however it is difficult when we are both sometimes pulling in different directions.....I admit Im biting my tongue, it would be so easy to go back to controlling....... but Im leaving it to evolve.....
Easy does it for me today......off to make a chocolate cake.....maybe that will persuade him Im right!!Okay, biting tongue hard now.......OUCH!
Hang in there. A cake sounds like a good idea to me! :)
I'm not really sure of the details. Is your son an adult? If he is an adult and living on his own and has access to a landline, why can't he get a phone for himself if / when he has the funds? Also, (as I am all to aware of myself), the phone is just the minor part of the cost. Who will be footing his share of the bill? I think it is great that you and your husband are working this out together. -Let us know how it turns out.

Easy Does it sure sounds good to me also and it works. It is one of the slogans I am also practicing at this time in order to position myself in this order...HP first, me second and then the others I am teamed up with. Let him avail himself of help from others besides yourself. Who else can he talk to that has program experience.
