update on taking step-mom's dog last year

Sometime ago I told you that I had taken my step mother's dog. I had misgivings at the time, but my A father was cruel to the dog and she was not getting out from under an old sideboard in the sitting room. I have no regrets for taking her. She has brought such joy to my life, she stopped losing her hair, I think that was stress and I now have to put her on a bit of a diet because she getting a little too plump. I'm attaching a picture of her because she really has gotten very cute looking. I have her twelve months now and she's a super little watchdog as well.

Thank god you rescued her. I often think that alcoholism hurts people AND animals. I pray that people who leave their alcoholic families or spouses take helpless pets with them! Please don't leave them with the alcoholic.god bless you.

good for you for rescueing her... i am sure she is most appreciative of her new, loving forever mom! its all too easy to forget that our animals are suffering too as a consequence of this illness.  my lucy originally came from a horrible situation where drink and abuse were involved.  with a lot of tlc and understanding she has turned into the most adorable companion who i love dearly and wouldnt part with at any price.  puppy hugs to your furry baby!!

Well it is very apparent she is thriving with you. She is a very pretty dog. Even has a sparkle in her eyes. Thank you for sharing this.

I know I would be  a very sad person with out my canine family. There is this neat thing, its a song. God and Dog. I wish I knew how to put it on here.

maybe I will try to attach it. congrats to you both love, debilyn

You deserve the love and peace and quite.  As you may know I had to take the ex a's dog, a beagle, who adored him.  I didn't think she would come to love me in the same way and now she does.  I'd do it again!

Maresie.

Our pets love us unconditionally.

-Bad day at the office?   Waggy tail greeting.
-Feeling depressed?       Waggy tail greeting.
-Life falling apart?          Waggy tail greeting.

Sometimes the one's we save end up saving us.. :)
