As I look around at my cosy happy home and listen to the news about Haiti, it reminds how lucky I am. How lucky I have been despite the recent trials and tribulations in my life. It's nothing compared to what these poor people are going through. May we keep all the people affected by this terrible tragedy in our thoughts and prayers. May we keep all the rescue workers and volunteers in our prayers as well. They face an unsurmountable task ahead of them. Who knows how long it will take?
I am looking at my budget and seeing if I can come up w/a few dollars to send to the Red Cross. I know any small amount will do. I don't know anyone personally affected by this tragedy, but that does not matter. I am a human being and those people are my brothers and sisters. So I will do what I can, even if it's just keeping them in my prayers. I ask that you do the same. They are in desperate need of them. Thank you. Much love and blessings to you and your families.

Thank You Karilynn for the gentle message and reminder.
Before Al Anon I took all that I had for granted. I felt as if I was entitled to it. Al Anon taught me gratitude, humility, and awareness. For that I am eternally grateful.
Today I will express my gratitude for all l have here in this Great Country and go to a volunteer center here in NYC and try to help to relieve the suffering in Haiti.
I will also join you in lighting candles and prayer.
May God give strength and guidance to the people trying to do search and rescue, administer medical care, feed and give drink to those in such desperate need there as they are His hands, feet and heart in that terrible tragedy.
May He give comfort and courage for the ones that are going through this hell on earth, and may we in anyway that we can aid those that have come to help the people of Haiti.
I was watching 20/20 last evening and the devastation that these people are facing is horrible to say the least. To me the worst of it all is the children........My prayers are with you all......and yes kari, they are our brothers and sisters......and the children can not be lost.....they are the future. May God shine his light and let the rescue workers get the help to the people.
