I talked the the psychiatrist today and he said that they did the MMPI on her but haven't scored it yet.  I also got a call from the therapist asking to change her from involuntary to voluntary commitment which I'm waiting for a call back from her to get more understanding as to what that would mean.  The doctor commented on the fact that he has given her several opportunities to accept ANY responsibility for her part in getting herself there and she has completely failed to do that.  Said they are assessing her for bipolar as my dad was bipolar and she exhibits a lot of symptoms and said that she would be getting therapy for "personality issues" which I'm still not sure what that means.

The house has been peaceful and calm, the other kids are being helpful and quiet and mellow and it's such a CHANGE!!!  They are getting into line very quickly.  The middle child told me today that she would never speak to me again if I sent her sister to wilderness camp and I told her that it is the court that is making her go there not me but that it IS most likely going to happen.

I got an email back from the court counselor advising that I ask if the mental hospital can send her to another facility which is closer to home and has a long term unit for girls and she could stay there until she gets an opening at camp.  I am going to bring that up when I talk to them again.  It's hard when your child hates you.  I'm praying she's not actually mentally ill and is just going through a bad phase, I'd hate to have her have to be on medication for the rest of her life and I know she would fight taking it.  As for the camps here I have heard nothing but positive things about them and kids coming out much better.  The program is Eckerd youth alternatives and it is sponsored by the drug company.  The ironic thing is that kids can't be on meds in the camp.

I am off work until the 2nd so I probably won't be around til then YAY!  Speaking of fun, I think I'm going to take the kids to see Avatar tonight if their rooms are clean and they have been good.

I'll be thinking of your daughter during this assessment period.  I relate to where she
is very much.   Ask the therapist is they would consider fear based, oppositional
defiant disorders in their search.  Just a suggestion from my Experience, Strength
and Hope.   (((((hugs))))) smile

Thank you Jerry---I am thinking of this poor child as well--- I like the "fear based, oppositional defiant disorders" because when I was in this poor kids shoes, so similar, I know that fear because of the constant abandonment I experienced caused my rage to boil over when I trashed our kitchen
