Asking for prayers

Grateful member of alanon here
My son is an addict. Technically homeless but sitting in jail at the moment for violating probation by using drugs. I turned him in.
He had been to rehab ( court ordered) but released after 5 weeks as it is a county run program and basically they needed the bed.
My son pleaded to stay until he had worked his way up to getting privledges of leaving rehab house to look for work and try and get on his feet. I begged them to please keep him but it fell on deaf ears. So within a few days he was back to using.
I told him when he went to court to throw himself on the mercy of the judge. Admit you are an addict and while rehab was starting to work he didn't recieve full benefit. To plead with the judge to be ordered back into a long term rehab.
Seems he only met with his lawyer and the prosecutor and was told the recommedation was he do 6 months in jail and no more orders to rehab. So basically after 6 months he will be back on the streets with no support. He pleaded again for rehab. Prosecutor said if he could find a rehab to take him within the next week and a half they will consder resleasing him to the rehab.
Son has no way of trying to find a place while in jail so he called and asked me to please find him a bed somewhere.
Tomorrow I start my calling...Not even sure where to start. The program he is on the county will pay the majority of the costs so I have to find a rehab that will take him under those conditions. We are on a fixed income and have no way of paying outright for treatment. It is a vicious cycle.
I ask for your prayers that I find a good rehab program that will accept my son and give him the help he needs. I ask for your prayers that he is finally ready to accept the help given to him.
Thanks in advance for your prayers

Aloha xeno...you and he have the prayers.  If you call AA or NA central offices
and ask them about the info regarding rehabs and such or call the local hospital
they should be a source of information.  AA and NA might be doing jail meetings
so you or your son can ask about that also.   The best rehab is the program
from my experience...He's gotta want it and work it.    (((((hugs))))) smile

Xeno, if I may offer a suggestion..have you tried the Salvation Army Rehab? They were a blessing to my son, he was there for 6 months and it really helped him. When he came out he went to live in a sober living home. We are also on a fixed income and the salvation army is funded by the state and donations. The only requiremints for the sober living house was for him to have a job and be and stay clean. That was almost 3 years ago and today he is a changed man. Yes..there is hope..and yes Miracles do happen everday. Bless you and your family as you all go thru this journey. Keep attending meetings for yourself and always remember that HP is in charge and he will bring your son through..

Love in recovery, grammie

Thinking of you and prayers that a bed will be found, and thanks that your son has a mom that loves him enough to care.

God Bless.
