This is a true story. It happened to me about three months ago:
One night after my Tuesday night f2f meeting I was talking to a lady in our group outside. We talked for 10 or 15 minutes. After I left I forgot that I had left my "Courage To Change" book on top of my car. It was 9:00 pm so I did not notice. I was home when I realized my mistake. I drove back the next morning, but to no avail.
Fast forward two months:
For several weeks at our meeting there had been some discussing about getting a new sign for our Al-Anon building. I was put in charge of checking on a new sign, prices etc. I get a call at my business a couple of days later from someone who ask if I am "RLC". I told him I was, and he told me he had found a book that belonged to me on the side of the road over a month ago, that he had been reading it and could relate. He wanted to know more about the program. We talked further and I asked him where he was located. He said he owned a sign company on Hwy 77.
Long story short, we needed a sign, he needed the Al-Anon program, and my Courage To Change book had fallen of my car in front of his business. Now we have a new sign and a new member.
Again, true story, HP continues to amaze me.
HUGS, RLC
P.S. And I also have a new Courage To Change book!!! Just for your information the books do not survive very well falling off a car traveling at 60 miles an hour.
