frustrating and heartbreaking.  it's such an insidious disease. 

he's killing himself, isolating, pushing everyone away so he can stew in his liquor....I love him so much, but I'm helpless....

letting it go, letting God take care of what I cannot do for myself or anyone else....

I can relate to your post. And I agree letting go and letting god is the best thing we can do for them and for ourselves.

Aloha CAM...you and your alcoholic have my prayers and thoughts.  I have come to
the belief that HP doesn't feel any more or less compassionate about alcoholics
than I do.  HP has more power to create change when the alcoholic wants change.

He did call last night when I thought I was going to get the cold shoulder...

your prayers must have worked....lol

no expectations but my heart is a little lighter today... 

I just worry so much - letting go, letting go...............argh!
