Yep, I really did it! I said I was going to but not when, so now it's done!
Biggest difference: not spending every waking moment on some aspect of the wedding.
It really came off well. My sober-A stepdaughter gave the toast (with ginger ale) and it was one of the nicest things anybody ever said about me. Memories to treasure... but life goes on one day at a time - the minister even made mention of "the road of happy destiny" (from the Big Book page 164).
I even played bari sax and they didn't throw food at me!
(o: Ok just remember, it is always your fault, come up behind her and kiss her neck. come home and ask how her day was. Be a best friend first, pick her flowers, write and tell her "what" makes you love her. Always support her dreams and goals.
