Not only did Jennifer come through for me, another family member who has a history of drugs, alchol, etc. came through for me, in a big way.
Jen came out to watch Bonnie. Jenn loves Bonnie Lou dearly and I knew she would be in good hands . And I honestly think Jenn was proud of herself for stepping up to the plate.
Anyway, the other family member is my husband's granddaughter. We were in Houston for granddaughter's graduation(not same granddaughter). My husband suffers from emphysemia and COPD very bad. He had a horrible breathing attack while there. I had to call 911 and away he went to the hospital. Anyway, he is fine, however we were at hospital from 7 pm to 2 am. We had to get up at 7 am. for graduation, then go to a big lunch celebration and drive 5 hours back to Dallas. I knew this was going to be dangerous with little sleep. The granddaughter who has a history of drugs(she has been clean for 12 months) offered to drive us back to Dallas!!!!! Hubbie got in backseat and slept all the way home. I thought I might nap while granddaughter drove; but I have never know her to talk so much. Talk, Talk, Talk. It was mostly about her drug problem, her therapy and her hopes for the future. I rather hear that from her than taking a nap,
So, I just wanted you guys to know that miracles to happen. Three happened this week end. First of all, hubbie is fine, Jenn came through for me and the granddaughter that probably took a dangerous person(me) from behind the wheel.

Clara, that is wonderful. I am sorry that hubby had to go to the hospital but very happy that Jenn didn't let you down and you were able to count on hubby's granddaughter too,
Good for you :) Glad that all your worries about Bonnie Lou was layed to rest for the weekend, and that Jen came thru and proved not to let you down this time round.. That is progress..
I am sure the conversation coming home is one that you to could put to good use in your own recovery from your chaos... We all have it, it is how we choose to face it... Good for you for listening to her, and letting her "get out" what she has been thru, I am sure it was very healing for her, and you as well :)
Glad to here Hubbie is OK, My Afather also suffered COPD, along with others, it is a hard disease to see unfold. At least it was for me... But glad it all worked out in the end...
I am sure Bonnie Lou was just as happy to get some time with your daughter as well.. Hope she is doing better in her health, for it sounds as tho Ms. Bonnie Lou has Much Love around her:)
That is such a sweet post. You made me grin from ear to ear. Maybe your granddaughter can be an inspiration to your daughter. If Bonnie Lou wants to eat table scraps then good for her! At least she's eating. As always Pipers and I are keeping Bonnie Lou in our prayers. Much love and blessings to you and your family.
Live strong, Karilynn & Pipers Kitty
