Awakening To Choices - Massachusetts Alanon Conference, May 15 - 17, 2009

Just thought I would share for anyone/everyone who's from this area that next weekend is the Annual Massachusetts Alanon Conference "Awakening to Choices."

If you are nearby, think about attending. The conferences are wonderful, a weekend of recovery with "those who understand."

There are 3 or 4 of us from Miracles in Progress that are attending so feel free to private message me if you'd like to meet up with us. We usually get together for meals and of course the dance on Saturday night after the main speaker share.

You don't have to stay for the whole weekend. Many people come for the day on Saturday. You can register at the door.

Maria - I remember we met up at one of these conferences - few years back - forget what my screen name was then. Hope all is well with you. Have fun at the conference. Im now down in FL so wont make this one.

And, if you want to come to the Southwest the first weekend in June, we are having the Arizona state convention in Tucson. Our theme is "Deep in the Heart of Al-Anon." Here is a link to some information:

On Friday night, we have an AA speaker and an ice cream social. On Saturday, a banquet, Al-Anon speaker and a dance. The AA/Al-anon speakers are a married couple and I am excited to hear their stories from their own, personal experience of the same situation. On Sunday, we end with an Al-Anon spiritual speaker. There will be AA and Alateen participation, workshops and marathon meetings. If you have never been to a convention, I strongly encourage you to go to one--it is a wonderful experience!!

.... or for a  convention of a different flavor, Maine has "Camp AFG" in August.  It's not live yet, but in a few weeks check out campafg.com .
