Dear God, You saw me working hard for two days clearing out my closet, getting ready for a major wardrobe turnover for your warm and lovely spring , summer. You know I do ALL the work myself...no help lifting, lugging, cleaning. I even patiently controlled my instinct to rip into Hub's gnarly closet confusion and left it to him and to You.
Today, Saturday, I was proudly nearing the end of this long difficult organizational job, looking forward to relaxing, and feeling that I was now a very good girl. Check! I want to know why you allowed an entire rod and shelf full to the gills of boxes of crafts and other goodies in my shed to crash down and all the hanging things to tumble onto the floor in front of my face and completely ruin my laundry scene as well. I had only one more hanger to load on to it!!
Now I am gathering more patience, gathering my wits, and waiting for Hub to come help me pick up all the crap and figure out how to reinstall the valuable space saving shelf and hanging rod! And please could you send me energy to face the laundry underneath it all as well?
HP, what do you have to say about the work ethic? Why do I try so hard?
It seems to me you would have more appreciation for my attempts to Simplify my life so I can bask in your beautiful sunshine and feel at peace. WHY?
In moments like those I used to wail and moan and it would turn into a horrible day/event. and now I just LAFF LAFF LAFF, call in a girlfriend , laugh some more and we get a good snorter out of it all and clean it all up! Maybe HP wants you to laugh and have fun WHILE you work! hugs, J.
sometimes shelves break because they are overloaded with weight...
sometimes closet rods break because they have too many clothes on them...
sometimes boxes fall because there are too many of them and they are too full...
sometimes laundry piles up because we are too busy overloading our shelves with stuff...
sometimes our lives seem impossible to simplify...because a life with an overabundance is never simple...
sometimes someone's HP has nothing to do with the accumulation of too much stuff, and the problems that come with it, like broken closet rods...
Painful lessons learned the hard way from a former stuff accumulator in similar circumstances!
When you have so few clothes, just your favorites, that fit in your one closet nicely, without being smashed, and you don't need to put clothes in storage for the season, then your life will really be simplified.
Hope you weren't hurt when things came crashing down. Those are the moments when I leave the mess on the floor, grab my fishing pole and hit the stream. Sometimes you just gotta walk away from it. Much love and blessings to you and your family.
Live strong, Karilynn & Pipers Kitty
