Is this the calm before the storm

Have not heard from daughter since her phone call admonishing us for not taking her to Houston with us for Easter.  She has not called, and neither have I.  After listening again to her message, we are very sure she was drinking.

She is supposed to be in therapy for the mental part of her addiction.  I am not sure(since we are not talking), but I think this is her last week to go.  I truley believe she needs more than 2 weeks therapy, but that is not up to me to decide.

So, for some reason, I am on pins and needles today.  Perhaps it is my womans intuition going on here.  It is like I am waiting for the other shoe to fall, so to speak.

Anyway, I have enough to keep busy today.  Getting my nails done this morning and then I need to bake 2 cakes for church bake sale.

Just wanted to get this all off my mind and Let go and Let God.
Thanks

If your daughter is still in active disease, no amount of therapy will help her. She needs to stop drinking, and stay stopped, before any assistance of a professional can be effective.
No amount of time with a professional will help her, either, so long as she is drinking. No type of therapy, no length of therapy, no intensity of therapy will be effective because of the drinking. You cannot treat the disesase if she is still active. Alcholism is different from cancer in this sense; we treat cancer because it is active. We cannot treat alcholism when it is active.

Hi Clara

I recognize the "pins and needles' feelings.

Glad you are taking care of yourself and letting God take care of your A daughter.

I am sure the cakes will taste great.
