On learning to do better

I came across this today and would like to share it with you guys.

It reminded  me again to give myself a break and use the slogan easy does it each time I try to fire ahead looking for change overnight.

The patterns I follow I have been following for a long time which means it is like starting from birth again slowly travelling one day at a time altering my dealings.  There will be falls along the way too which help with progress

Practice, practice with a heap of effort is the reality of it!!
On Learning to Do Better

I walk down the street.
There is a hole.
I don't see it.
I fall in.
It isn't my fault.
It takes a very long time to get out.

I walk down the same street.
There is still a deep hole.
I pretend not to see it.
I fall in.
I pretend it's still not my fault.
It takes a long time to get out.

I walk down the same street.
There is still the same deep hole.
I see it.
I fall in anyway.
It's a habit.
I get out quicker this time.

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole.
I see it.
I walk around it.
I don't fall in.

I walk down a different street.

Thanks for your post inhisarms

I am at the moment I realise at the pretending stage and that's okay I have moved forward.  Hehehe I totally get the holes being like mines and exploding mine I fall into and gawd does it sometimes seem I'll never get out.

It's nice to hear you are at the walking around stage.  Well done you clearly ya have made a lot of effort there as it's not easy very inspirational.

*HUGS*

Cheeza, it feels good to be walking around the mines....lol but honestly i think it has more to do with keeping busy and keeping the focus on me ....I still have many holes in my life but one at a time right?   biggrin

I think this is such a great metaphor for boundaries. They are really difficult to learn as an adult.
