OMG, my dog was trying to tell me that this was going to be bad last night. my garage is flooded. one inch more and it will be in my house. i'm in south louisiana, i've seen flooding like this, but never in my home. i'm gonna get my important papers and my photos and i am out of here. i'll keep you posted. UNREAL!
OH and my Hubbys in rehab so i have to have the courage to do this alone. We are expecting more rain. UNREAL!
I am so very sorry. I have experienced flooding and I know how it feels. Yes you can do this. Say the serenity prayer and proceed to do exactly as you have written.
Will you still be able to go to the retreat or will you need to address the flood waters this weekend?
Take long slow breaths, and just put one foot in front of the other. Please be safe and come back and let us know what is going on

I hope you still go to the retreat - the mess will still be there to deal with when you get back. Sounds like you're doing a good job doing what you can, and leaving the rest to HP.
Retreat cancelled. One of the ladies just called to tell me. The Parish President declared our Parish (County) as a state of disaster. And at 9 AM my hubbys counsolor called to let me know he left in the early morning from rehab without saying a word to anyone. He doesn't know it flooded. UNREAL...i'm cool though.
