Frozen river is a movie all about dealing with alcoholism (of course in a desperate dysfunctional crazy way).  I could so relate to the charactors trying to hold it all together when everything had crashed.  If you want to see how far you have come rent it and enjoy seeing the after effects of alcoholism on screen in a story rather than graphic documentary.  I really got so much out of it.
