I was talking to a friend of mine about how clueless our parents can be about the internet - IMing, chat rooms, message boards.....etc....

how can u explain how to use those things? IM I can explain but how do u explain how to use a chat room or a message board or explain how it works?

well if u can direct them to the room , others will help explain how to use it , everyone seems to be pretty helpful with new commers . show them how to book mark it and viola !!

Hey....

I was just going to say to show them how to work their favorites and show them how to get to it, I agree that someone on the board will help them walk thru it at the time, and let her do it while you stand behind and give a little nudge here and there... Most times they just need the confidence to know that they Can do it!!!
