Hello Everyone, Just to identify...I am an adult daughter and have active and recovering alcoholics in my life at present. It's good to not make situations worse through simply not having knowledge of how to do things differently, this disease really is baffling and powerful. There is hope and help for us here and in the many Al Anon meetings around the world. Regards snowqueen
I'm glad you have some people in recovery in your life. I don't feel that alcoholism affected me personally I feel I had a whole other disease called codepence which can and is separate from alcoholism. Even when I am not around an alcoholic I can see that I am affected.
