How I Start My Day

This is a poem I have read to start my day for twenty years. It reminds me that everyday is important. I hope you enjoy it and maybe it can make a difference for you as it has for me. Author unknown.

This is the beginning of a new day.

God has given me this day to use as I will.

I can waste it or use it for good.

What I do today is very important because I am exchanging a day of my life for it.

When tomorrow comes, it will be gone forever.

Leaving something in its place I have traded for it.

I want it to be a gain, not lost----good, not evil.

Success, not failure, in order that I shall not forget the price I paid for it.

Thanks for sharing RLC. Hope I use my days wisely. I have been saying the same prayer since 9/11. Boy does time fly.

In support,
Nancy

Morning guys,
It's 06.00hrs here in the UK and I'm just getting ready to face the day

What I do today is very important because I am exchanging a day of my life for it.

Amazing and so inspirational.

Thanks RLC for the share, I shall adopt this as my morning prayer.

With love, hugs and gratitude
Carol

That's very cool.. thanks for sharing....

Reminds me of another inspirational thought....

"words can be used for two things, and two things only.... they can either BUILD UP, or they can BREAK DOWN.....  today, I choose to use my words to build up"

More great stuff ((((RLC)))),

I have the following on my bedroom mirror (rather look at that in the a.m. than me as I get outta bed biggrin.gif)

God I offer myself to thee, to build with thee and do with thee as you will.
Relieve me of the bondage of self that I may better do your will.
Take away my difficulties that victory over them may bear witness to those I would have helped of your love, your power, your way of life.
May I do your will always.

This helps remind who's truly in charge of my life.  I have to do the footwork for sure because I can't steer my boat because God don't row.

Thanks for sharing,
Maria
