This is a poem I have read to start my day for twenty years. It reminds me that everyday is important. I hope you enjoy it and maybe it can make a difference for you as it has for me. Author unknown.
This is the beginning of a new day.
God has given me this day to use as I will.
I can waste it or use it for good.
What I do today is very important because I am exchanging a day of my life for it.
When tomorrow comes, it will be gone forever.
Leaving something in its place I have traded for it.
I want it to be a gain, not lost----good, not evil.
Success, not failure, in order that I shall not forget the price I paid for it.
I like this a lot RLC, thanks for sharing this poem. I will add it to my prayers and daily readings. I usse everything I can to keep my mind in the positive and focus on the important things of the day.
hugs, ddub

I have the following on my bedroom mirror (rather look at that in the a.m. than me as I get outta bed )
God I offer myself to thee, to build with thee and do with thee as you will. Relieve me of the bondage of self that I may better do your will. Take away my difficulties that victory over them may bear witness to those I would have helped of your love, your power, your way of life. May I do your will always.
This helps remind who's truly in charge of my life. I have to do the footwork for sure because I can't steer my boat because God don't row.
Thanks for sharing, Maria
