Tomorrow is a big day for me. I am starting a new job, putting my four and a half month old baby in daycare for the first time, having my mother handle transporation and errands for my older daughter, who turns five years old tomorrow, too!!! I am feeling optimistic tonight, that everything will go well.
I acknowledge tonight that what I have had to deal with the last couple of months is more than most people have on maternity leave. I didn't crawl under my covers, I kept going, moving forward for me and my two precious girls.
If you would keep me in your good thoughts, I would be so grateful!
you are definetely in my thoughts. Wow, that is a lot of stuff you've got going on. First, congratulations to the new baby, and happy birthday to the 5 year old. I'm wishing you a great first day at work tomorrow.
I can hear your optimism and excitement in your post. I remember starting a new job, putting my daughter in day care for the first time when she was 1 1/2 years old. It was hard not to have her around me all the time anymore, but everything turned out just fine.
You are an amazing woman! You are an amazing mother! Those two little girls are very blessed to have you as a mom. You've been working this program so hard and it's paying off. I am so happy you are finding some serenity because today is a very full and eventful day for you and the girls.

P.S. As this week is the start of school for many here in my neck of the woods, I often have to fight back the tears as I see mothers (mostly) putting their babies on the school bus and crying as the bus pulls away. And then again sometimes I don't fight the tears, I just let em roll.

What an accomplishment for you! Yep, moving forward... ultimately that's what it's all about. I have discovered over and over again, that when I base my decisions on what is right for my family vs what I think I really want, that God blesses me ten-fold.
Daycare and child-juggling certainly aren't for the weak, but the ultimate reward and peace in knowing that you are providing and caring for your precious children is powerful beyond words! You are going to do great!

Good for you. Most people do not indeed have to deal with an alcoholic's craziness. I have my own craziness called codependence which tends to thrive in crisis though. In fact crisis is about all I know. I gravitate towards them which is one reason I ended up with an A.
