I am now on week 2 of my Human Relations class and my Microcomputer Aps class, and just got my text books/software this past Monday.
My microcomputer aps instructor is also the chair of the computer training department, so she is a very busy lady, working full-time for the college, married and with two young children!
After the whole ordeal with the text books/software, I discovered late Monday that I highly suspected they gave me the wrong packet for the SAM testing software at the book store.
So I emailed my instructor, and her syllabus had stated she would try her best to respond within 24 hours to all emails.
Two deadlines have now passed for testing in that class, but when I had originally emailed her about not having the software/books, she was very willing to extend deadlines and work with me.
This morning I finally heard back from her, and since the 24 hours had passed already for a response, I told myself surely there was something in her life that had come up, and again, be patient and don't panic.
Turns out she had a very sick child, was very sorry for the delay, the book store had indeed given me the wrong SAM packet for testing, and she would immediately mail out the correct software to me today.
She's still very glad to extend testing deadlines for me, so I am so glad I didn't work myself into a lather and panic!
I don't have to drive to the book store again, which I have no more gas for a 3rd trip anyway, and all is good!
I'm already having more than just 'book' lessons with this college experience!

wow, wow, wow...great job staying patient. Good work in communicating your needs. Wonderful example of not reacting. Awesome share, thanks. Good luck in your class, it certainly does sound like you are learning more lessons then those initially intended. Keep up the good work.
