Yep, new shoes, a new purse and some gum, that is what I bought for myself yesterday. I know, sounds silly (or maybe not, thus this post), but it was eventful for me. I haven't bought new shoes in a very long time. Now, it is not like I walk around barefoot or in ratty shoes, but I got tired of the same 'ol same 'ol. The purse I had was really more of a winter purse. Decent condition, but old. Not only did I buy a new one, but threw my other away, not because it was shabby, but because I didn't like it anymore. That is eventful for me! Then at the store, I bought some gum. Whenever I buy gum, it is at the kids' request and so they pick the flavor and chew it all! Well, this time I picked the flavor and am hiding it in my new purse. My goal is to chew the whole pack or share it if I want; it is just for me.
I'm off to take my drug test for my new job. I am grateful that I can go give a sample with no worries of what they will find. I am grateful I got a new job. I am grateful I have new shoes to wear. Lastly, I am also grateful that I found a sponsor and we are meeting for the first time tonight. WOO HOO!
Blessings, Lou

so cute Lou- I know buying things for myself has been hard in the past but I am getting used to it!!! Its incredible how much we deny ourselves/put others needs ahead of our own. Nice work and I am really glad you posted, its not dumb at all, its really nice. Hugs, J.
