Well, his brother is going to get him from jail. It will be middle of the night when they get in so I shouldn't even have to think about it tonight. His mom went out of town today and told him she would see him Sunday. He said okay. She asked him if he was going to be at my house and he said yes. I am just taking it one moment at a time and trying to capture some serenity. Keep me in your prayers.
CoDe, you do know you have choices surrounding having him in your home. You can choose to NOT have him there if you wish and that is perfectly ok. It doesn't mean you don't love him, or don't want him there. It just means that, for today, you are taking care of yourself. And that is all you have to say to him...if that is what you choose. Take your power, CoDe. You are not a victim of him and his whims. Not feeling safe with a man who is just getting out of jail is perfectly normal. Saying no, putting up a boundry is NOT saying "I hate you and never want to see you again" It is simply saying "I need to focus on ME right now" Not a thing wrong with that.
CoDe - I couldn't agree more with what Seren said. You can love him and still close the door if that makes you feel safer, or more secure. Whatever you decide - remember that you can always change your mind. Take it slow.
