I just wanted to say hello , I have been away from alanon online for about a year. This is a different group and appears very nice and not religious like the other group I was with. I have been married to the A 26 years, but Im not here to talk about him, I have done alanon for a number of years and I hope I can still learn more and help more. Thanks, Bettina
I remember thinking that the program was a religious one firstly because it was held at a church location. I was leery and skeptical so I kept an attitude of reservation. Religious addiction helped to end my first marriage and family. It was soooooo cRaZY!!. Then I heard if I worked the steps religiously...(that was a different picture than another christian religion)...I would find relief from the consequences of alcoholism. The program was soooo right and today I still work the steps religiously. Trust God, clean house, help others. The simplest was of saying all twelve at once.
