This has got to be one of the happiest days (4 June) I have had for years. For the first time since my 21st birthday, I celebrated my birthday and even had a birthday cake, which I was able to share with friends.
My daughter spent half an hour chatting to me. I received a plant and a balloon too. So wonderful. I am so H A P P Y...what a surprise!
I was so amazed that my daughter remembered and let the children send texts too.
If this is the sort of thing that happens in recovery, well I cannot wait to continue along that path.
THIS IS A MIRACLE of the highest order...JUST ONE DAY MORE TO TREASURE.

That is SO awesome, I love birthdays and always love to celebrate my own personal new year!
I can't say I haven't had a cake, every year for my b-day... but I can say 2008, was the best birthday in a really long time! I sure hope this year continues to be a positive one!

I can so relate to your happiness that your children have provided you. I, too, relish in those moments with my children. My children complete me in so many ways though they are their own separate entities.
