MORE NEWS ABOUT ACCIDENT

Today we found out that they caught the guy who caused the motorcycle accident that killed my SIL's friends and injured her brothers wifes sister and her husband.

He is being charged with 2 counts of operating while intoxicated causing death punishable by up to 15 years, and 2 counts of operating while intoxicated causing serious injury punishable by up to 5 years.

Once again this disease has resulted in the needless death of 2 young people and has disabled 2 other young people.

The funerals are tomorrow. Please pray for the families.

Sorry to hear you are in such pain. The Big book says that the disease often ends in death, institutions or insanity for some people its that they cause the death of others.  What a tragedy.  What grips me is it could be me. I stepped in the car for so long with an A who drove absolutely recklessly. He crashed the truck at least 3 times with the dogs in there.   I probably don't even know about half the accidents he had.

This is why I don't like (or necessarily believe) the "everything happens for a reason" line.   It appears to be a senseless tragedy.

What a waste. I'm glad they caught the guy who did this. Prayers continue for the families. I can't imagine what it must be like for them. Love and blessings for them.

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers. The funeral was very sad today.

What struck me the most about it, was that the family asked for prayers for the man who caused the accident. I don't know if I could be that forgiving. This family is truly extraordindary.
