Back From Vegas

(((((Family)))))

Well I'm back home again. We had a great flight both ways. I must say, I was worried for nothing. I truly had a good time. My daughter enjoyed her birthday , and I didn't have to end up being a third wheel with her and her boyfriend

Hubby was on his best behavior, going out of his way to make my vacation a nice time. We got a chance to go to Legends where we saw "Jay Leno, Barry White, Madonna, The Temptations and Elvis" all impersonators of course. The show was fantastic.

I did a little gambling, lost some, won some then lost it back again. I'm not much for gambling so I didn't go overboard.

Even though hubby was offered drinks at every Casino we visited he never touched a drop. I did tell him that I really enjoyed spending time with him. I really meant it, too.

He is, however an A. We got home at 1:00AM (last night) and when I got up this  morning (slept in due to the time change) he was already drunk. He slept that one off, and by the time I got back from the grocery store (9:00 PM) he was working on his second drunk of the day. Making up for lost time I guess.

I am  left with some nice memories of the last few days though, and thanks to HP, I am able to cope with him back at home. I guess it was just fear of the uknown that had me dreading this trip in the first place. I know how to deal with it at home, and I was afraid of what it would be like to have to cope in a strange place.

Thank you all for your prayers and support.

Love,

Claudia wink.gif

((((((((Claudia))))))),

Welcome home.  Glad you had a nice time.  It seems to me that when we really need the As to behave, they do.  Not that we can control what they do, but when the "all important" stuff comes up they seem to be able to stay sober long enough to do so.  Would that their recovery be an "all important" thing to them.  Oh well.  Remember the good times that will get you through some of the tough times.  Glad you're home safe and sound to us. Much love and blessings to you and your family.

Live strong,
Karilynn & Pipers Kitty aww

((((Claudia))))))))))))

So pleased to read your post. Glad you enjoyed your trip. Pleased that you could accept and cope with the homecoming return to old habits. Keep that serenity and remember how it was when you and he were in Vegas together.

Always in my prayers, good to have you back. Love, Suzannah heart.gif

Welcome home!

I am glad it was such a nice trip for all of you.  It amazes me how these functioning A's can pull this off though and it can be so unnerving from a positive way too.  I still always feel off center or off balance as everything is so unexpected or opposite of expectations.  Maybe I'll have less expectations, negative or positive, with a little more program under my belt. smile

You enjoyed yourself, good for you and hold on to that vacation feeling.

hugs, ddub
