Video - Letting Go, Letting God

During a recent trip to Houston, Texas I was asked to speak at the recovery house that I got clean and sober at 18 years ago. I have created a video using a portion of that meeting, with some of other content.
It is my hope that some of you will enjoy this 29 minute video I created for the guys in my recovery houses here in Wilmington, NC. The theme I tried to stick to is Letting Go, Letting God and the results of doing this.

As Al-Anon members the ability to let go and let God is a vital tool of recovery, healing and dealing. While this video is geared towards the alcoholic and addict in early recovery, I believe it can provide the Al-Anon member a source of hope that no matter how descouraging their current situation is with family or friends who are alcoholic, God has the ability to turn the tide and the myth that this person is hopeless can be mashed.

The video is 29 minutes, and might also be useful to you for the benefit of the alcoholic who is struggling and has lost hope in his or her self.

I think as a codependent I have to struggle tremendously to control myself.  I may not have the issue of consuming alcohol compulsively but I certainly had a huge issue with obsessing, and self defeating behavior which was for me totally compulsive. For me it was as serious as an A drinking, totally life threatening, debilitating and absolutely progressive .
