It was cold and raining and I was feeling sorry for myself this morning (I think someone else had similar thought in a previous thread). I gave into it for a few minutes because I can't help but feel that I've been robbed of my "happily ever after" by the monster that has taken my AH. (sigh)
But a bit later I was listening to some music and LOTR soundtrack came up and I remembered something from the first movie (Fellowship) that I always liked. Poor Frodo was moaning about why that stupid ring ended up in his hands and how he wished that none of this had ever happened. Gandolph tells him something like, "So does everyone who lives to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us." (I remembered when I saw the movie that sounded so much like something that Winston Churchill might have said during WWII as England was being bombed.)
So I'm feeling better now with a bit of perspective (and some chocolate)--my situation is not as nearly as bad as it could be. I can't change the AH. I just have to decide what to do to make the best of it.
Good work, way to go. It never ceases to amaze me how HP puts things in our path right when we need them. A line from a movie, a song that makes us feel good, or even some simple words from a friend. And all we need to do is be open to it.
And hehe pass the chocolate please ;).
Yours in recovery, Mandy
