Yep...been way too long since I have written one
so here it goes.....

I want to save you

I know i can't change you,and I know you may never understand what it is to feel

you are too busy numbing your pain with alcohol,that you don't know what is real

I see you withering away, I see you aging day by day

I want to save you, I really do,but that is all up to you

I have accepted the fact that you will never be who I want you to be

if only,if only, you could see

I have faith

I know that all this time,God was keeping you safe

As much as I wanted to give up

all I had to do was look up,and you were always there

I just never acknowledged you, I spent my whole life hating you

You never came to save me, you never seemed to care,but you said you were always there

you said you were in the air i breathe, and in the cool breeze

You were the only carrying me when i thought you had disappeared

Thanks for the poetry!
I just recently dedicated a song to my husband
entitled Because Of YOU
I don't know how I survived in the cold & empty
world for all this time.
I only know that  I'm alive because you love me.
Now that you're in my life I thank God I'm
alive
Cause you show me how good it can be
Because you love me.
With all my heart and all my soul I'm loving
you and I never will let go
Because you love me.
There are some things I wish I didn't do
But I do the things I do
Because you love me
It goes something like that anyway!
It is dedicated to a man than never really let go of me!
He has made up for all the pain and suffering we both
have been through because he loves me.
I used to think if he loved me, everything would
be fantastic!  But now I do the things I do because
we love each other and have mutual respect and
honesty, openmindness and willingness to make it
work!
