Oh my, I have so enjoyed the humorous posts I have read through today. Laughter is so good for my soul. I thought I'd share one of my funnier moments (though I didn't think so at the time).
Bear in mind I have several dogs, with the definitive 'problem child' of those being a 26 pound wire haired terrier mix named Pikachu. If there is trouble to be had, she will be the one to find it.
It wasn't uncommon a few years back for enterprising pre-teens to stop by in the summer to see if I need the lawn mowed before I had my own lawn mower.
One day a boy of about 12 came up to the door and asked if I needed my lawn mowed, which I didn't have the money on that particular day.
As a sidenote, I had to keep the bathroom door closed when not in there as I had a small trash can in there that Pikachu was infamous for tipping over and helping herself to whatever was in there, including kleenex and personal hygiene products.
I was talking to the boy about what day I might have the money, and I noticed he was not looking at me anymore, but rather beside me and with the most horrified look I have ever seen on a boy's face.
I turned to my left to see Pikachu standing there (I had forgot to close the bathroom door that day), complete with a mini-pad stuck to her little beard, wagging her tail and smiling at the boy like 'Hi there'!
The boy hastily excused himself, never to be seen again, and I just wanted to melt into the floor!!!!!

Made me think of when my daughter was small, and loved to play with plastic cups, etc. in the tub. I took a picture of her once, smiling really big and pouring out water from a cup she was holding high in the air. It was so cute, she was smiling ear to ear....about 4 years old. Then years later, a friend was looking at the picture, and there..... on the bathtub ledge, was an empty plastic Summer's Eve bottle, that my daughter had apparently gotten out of the trash while I was out of the room getting the camera. OMG! I about died. Guess I shoulda gotten her more tub toys! Love, Becky1
