I too have my opinion of certain aspects of the 12 step program but I choose to take what I like (and what benifits me) and leave the rest.

Ignorance for sure. Too bad some peoples minds are so locked shut, but some just can't resist the urge to tear others down.

Thanks for that - when (if) he starts drinkin again, I hope he will run as fast as he can back
to AA where he can get sober again and learn how to live. Sounds to
me like his alcohol-saturated brain couldn't grasp enough of the program to get sober and
he doesn't seem to be thankful that he's not drinking anymore (if that's true!) -- they lie,
ya' know.
