I'm a busybody

Hi everyone! I haven't been posting much because my AH expressed his dislike of this board (I am being polite) and he has hardly left the house this week due to the holiday and what that does to him, if you know what I mean!

Anyway, I am sitting here this morning while the rest of the house sleeps and I started laughing at something that happened last night. I was picking up the house and when I walked into the kitchen I witnessed my AH pouring vodka into beer (8.5% alcohol beer). Yes, vodka into beer. He looked up at me and said, "you are such a busybody!" I just said, "and what are you?" with a smile on my face and kept on going.

I'm not really sure why I find it funny, but I do. I hope everyone has a great New Year with no major catastrophes. Personally I can't wait for it to get here as I am perpetually hopeful for a bright future.

Keep on keepin' on! Babysteps

HE was trying to dsiguise his booze in a near bear can. I dont think you were a busybody. You jsut asked a question. He chose not to take responsibility for his actions.

Glad you foudn a quite time to post.

Maybe it is a sign that you are starting to detach in a good way?? I hope that you have a wonderful Sunday!!

Thanks for my first giggle of the day.  I can just picture that scene - and oh how I'm familiar with the insanity of it all!!!  Thank God for laughter is all I can say.  Your response to it was inspirational!

Yuck!! I bet that tasted good! It just shows the disease has no boundaries and will go to desperate lengths.

I do hope you come here whether it upsets him or not. He feels threatened and that's the bottom line. Not getting the help I needed was not up for consideration no matter what.

My A obviously did what he wanted and needed by drinking, not particularly caring how it affected me. I had to come to Alanon because it was what I wanted and needed, not particularly caring how it affected him.

that made me laugh, too- geez it must have tasted really awful but then again, I do not like the taste of alcohol all that much anyway unless its a nice glass of wine with a good meal. I really like what Christi said about getting the help we need and not caring what he thinks about it. This is good to keep in mind for me, too. J.

What an awsome response! Can't imagine how their minds work. There he is trying to disquise alcohol with alcohol and calling you names? Imagine what a non-alcoholic would have said about pouring vodka into beer......

So you're a busybody just because you walked into your own kitchen. This one made me laugh out loud. My AH looked at me and asked what was so funny. I told him he wouldn't understand. LOL.

Sounds like you're doing very well with your program. I don't know if I would be able to show no reaction at all to a scene like that. YOU GO GIRL!!

Happy New Year to you, and prosperity in 2008!!

Love and Blessings,

Claudia
