old pig in the house is so much easier than a young one who gets into the dogs food, gets into the bird seed becuz ya left it down, takes off with your sandwich, when you go to get your drink pulls the covers off your bed, stands on your long nightgown when you bend over to pick something up that the cat knocked off....sticks its snouter in the fridge before you can shut it, now you cannot shut it as you are running to hopefully retrieve the nice loaf of ww bread, before she drops it and the dogs get it...shal I go on??
Old pigs LOVE to lay by the heater, lay by the heater lay by the heater, turn around and lay by the heater, get some apple and LBTH, lol get up turn around get a drink and Lbth, have to pee, might pee on blanket, oh well i wash them every day, let him out to gopottty he shivers at the door before goes out..and mind you he is going "out" to the stall.
comes back in to a bowl of pumpkin whole grain cereal, bit of grain an egg and molasses. all warmed up... I put a towel down, give him his bowl, he makes such a mess I hold bowl up with the towel around it,so it catches what he pushes out as he is starving. i think about how i could make a million dollars if I made a piggy bib feeder like the horse feed bags sorta....
take bowl add water hold water so he gets it all and he does what he does best, lays down by the heater, gets belly rubbed and a massage. i am thinking of warming up this great vaseline cream and putting it on his dry bod. I am remembering being massaged with chocolate oil....sigh
Back to sleep, was all too much like work. and of course lest we forget, he is oofing oofing the whole time.
Andwhy is it he only snores like a train at night?
i notice that i slip the ice trays so easily out of the freezer, get them out with a chizel, fill with water try to put them back in the freezer, spilling the water as for some reason they grew about two inches. sigh
I have noticed when you allow dogs on your bed, they will move to YOUR spot on YOUR pillow when you get up to let old dog out, praying he did not go on the floor by the door. let them out, think dang i need a piece of linoleum, I don't care if it is orange orange.
go back in,move huge basset over who growls and nips at you for moving him from your spot, dogs bark to come back in,G.D. Bentlee peecat rushes in rrrr have to find him and put him back out...go in now two more dogs are in my spot and MY spot is wet. sigh, throw clean blanket down, put clean sheet down.
the cockatiels are wolf whistleing and fluttering as they think it is time to get up to eat.Reeba parrot starts singing "jingle bells."
think about how a man in my bed did not ever get it muddy.
just get to sleep and doodle silkie chicken starts doodle dooing loud. now old dog on bed wants out...
I have thought about making a Tarp bed spread...
let dog back in, he has to be lifted on to the bed, I push him over, push tavish over and sorta lay like a pretzel as Sauvy is at the foot,.
I noticed that i am now so wide awake i get on the computer. the kittens lay on the mouse big cats zander, winnie, bastian, and lovey keep sitting in front of the monitor.Noel white cat is asleep by walters snouter,in front of the heater...
oh and...the load of nice clean warm cloth in the basket? well now stinker cat has layed on top, and how come i dont throw him off and fold them? ohhhh isn't he so peaceful
mean while as I am off putting cloths in the washer etc, Tavishbasset has jumped on my bed directly onto my folded cloths. I give up, whats a huge dog print going to hurt....
i have noticed that I don't brush my hair out much. Just twist it up on my head with these crazy curly tendrils around my whole scalp.
My eyebrows are now one, My feet look like bricks underneath, my nails are clean but all different lengths,
I notice that when the mailman honks i run out in my slippers...he asks did ya put on your rubber shoes this time??
NOpe and it is freezing. i start feeding...
sigh i notice that my road leads me directly to town just three miles. then about ten min.to the freeway. I notice that I have a backpack, rubber boots, nice overalls pretty wool sweater and coat, wool socks and gloves, ear muffs, I have learned to survive on just about nothing...I notice that I can still sorta get my right thumb to sorta point down the freeway...
I notice that, no way would i leave this blessed life...big sigh, love, debilyn
Oh Debilyn... I just love your observations about your critter-filled life.... and I thought my little twin-sized bed was crowded with my 2 yorkies! They like to steal my warm spot too and curl up as close to me as possible. And you're right... can't disturb them... they're sleeping so peacefully! Awwww...
Happy new year to you! Love, Artygirl

I can so relate to the whole "Critter" bed. I sleep with a Labrador, a Yorkie and a Siamese cat all of whom want to sleep on my pillow!
Besides all of them we have a Maltese, and another Yorkie (these are my daughters) another Lab (which belongs to the AH) and a rabbit (He's neutral). So you see our house is a critter heaven too.
Enjoy all of your posts about the farm. Have a happy New Year!!
Love and Blessings,
Claudia

Eden Deb? You have a flowery existence and isn't it entertaining and fulfilling? We only have two wee ones both females; Chloe and Sadie. They are very much like yours and the rest of this familys' pets. There's no complaining about it any more just the process which includes both or either bumping Poppa's legs or back trying to get their own space before sleep. It's nice ending the day with a smile and laugh. I've just got these little two gals. You have the whole farm in your house. Where's Kim 65 when you need support?
If you're out there Kim...Merry Christmas and a Happy New One.
