Just wanted to take a few minutes to wish you all a very blessed and Happy Thanksgiving. I know there are lots of families who are traveling, may your journey be safe. May your loved ones arrive safely. To those of you who have family and friends serving in the military who can't be with you, know that they love you and are keeping you close in their hearts. I thank them and you from the bottom of my heart for their service and sacrifice. Extra love and blessings to them. May they come home safe and sound to you very soon.
I know how hard holidays can be on our families. Let us take a moment to make a gratitude list. There is sooo much I have to be thankful for. My hubby, my Pipers Kitty, my health, my family and friends and certainly my family here. Where would I be without you. No life isn't perfect. But as I look around at all that I have I remember those who are sleeping on the streets, whose addiction has taken their life away from them and their families. While work may drive me crazy, I have a job with benefits. How lucky am I? I look outside and still see the fall colors. A reminder that HP is certainly is around in all his/her glory. Hubby got a clean bill of health from his foot surgeon! We don't have to go back for 6 months. How lucky are we to have found one of the best in the world who compassion and skill has perfomed miracles on many, many people? Dr. LaPorta I am beyond thankful for you.
For my family here, I can't express all the love and gratitude I have for you. You have taught me so much, supported me so much and just unconditionally loved me so much. I am beyond lucky. I can only hope more people find their way here. We are not alone in this journey of recovery. You are my angels. For all of you who, like me, work retail: may the weekend go as smoothy as possible. I don't have to be really early (I like the extra early shifts) but it's always long. Try and have some fun with the customers. It's hard. But remember to say the Serenity Prayer alot and if you have a coin or stone grip it! Life is too short not to have fun -even at work.
Much love and blessing to all of you and your families. Happy Thanksgiving all.
Live strong, Karilynn, Hubby and Pipers Kitty
