My big lab mix got out last night and after hours of searching is no where to be seen. I am desolate and waiting for the animal shelters to open. The A offered to help if I paid him!!! That's it for me.
I feel absolutely alone, abandoned and without resources. Of course I have my own two feet. My dogs got out lots of times before and it was a matter of time before it happened given the way I live.
She usually came back on her own accord I am pretty sure she has been picked up.
So now I have to go around the animal shelters and look for her and hope and pray and not be sick.
The beagle didn't go anywhere which is why it is even more strange that Pepi ran off generally its only if the two of them run off I'm in trouble. I've spent hours and hours and hours looking for them.
I got very very little help from my neighbors. That certainly changed my relationship with them. I count on people to be there for me. When they aren't I have a very different relationship with them. Gone are the days when I'll entertain anything but reciprocity.
Please pray that my dog is a) okay and not run over. I walked for miles and saw no sign of that. and b) I can get her back. I have so very little in my life. The a has stripped me of everything, home, truck, money the works. She is all I have.
Prayers coming from me too . . . please let us know if you hear anything.
It's most likely she found a great source of cat food and got picked up.
I've had two dogs "disappear" for a while on me. I emailed pictures and a note to the animal shelters, and even slapped up pictures of him around the area. Both were back within a couple of days.
Again let us know how it's going, hon. Praying your gal is back home snoozing as if nothing ever happened!
Is the dog ID chipped? If so, they will attempt to contact you. Since you have moved, and if it is chipped, you can call the shelters with the ID# and your name, and new phone number. Also, they can change the info via computer and put your new address/phone on the chip.
Try to think positive !! It matters.

You might consider contacting shelter and putting flyers near your old home if you have recently moved too. The dogs instincts for 'home' may take him/her there.
Just an idea.

Prayers from me and emma and spencer. They have gone on little jaunts and returned safely and grateful. Sometimes we have to go "out there" so when we come home we know how good we've got it.
Maresie, if you ring the shelters, ask them to contact other shelters and give your telephone number so that they can telephone you, it will save you legwork. My thoughts and prayers are with you and I know what you mean about the reciprical aspects, I'm like that too now.
oh geez marisie. OH I hope your bud comes back or you find him. dang it. I know how you feel. Such a horrible feeling.
When someone stole my Fergus, I finally took a breath and gave it to hp. I had to. Was making myself sick anc crazy.
I wish I could help in some way.
I am obcessed now with NO ONE coming on my property. Have two fences BEFORE my front door!! I cannot lose another one.
Keep us posted please mary!!!! Do you have pictures? Get some fliers going and put them in a 4 block radius. soon as you can, get a chip in her and the Beagle. I went door to door, put pics in the papers. Offered a huge reward...
