Don't you enjoy those days when everyone you come in contact with is friendly and helpful? When all works out to the good? Today has been one of those days.
Started early this morning when I was doing some gardening in the front yard. Sister phoned. She has purchased the condo she wanted on South Padre Island. YAY!! Good for her. Then went downtown to meet with the Historic Commission to gain permission to change one of the colors on my house. Usually they "take it under advisement" and keep you waiting a couple of weeks while they "survey" the situation. It is not easy to do anything to the outside of an historic home. Well, my color change was approved on the spot!! YAY!! On the way home, stopped in an architectural hardware store. I have been looking for brass window screen fittings. Had begun to suspect they weren't made. FOUND THEM!! YAY!! And...they are much less expensive than I thought they would be. YAY!!
Now all this may seem to you a day full of triviality. But it has been filled with pleasant, helpful people. I am smiling, and not in the mood to hit anyone over the head with a 2x4. YAY!!

Last Friday I was taking my morning walk along a creek that meets up with a river. It is a gorgeous walk and about half the time I see a blue heron I refer to as "My Heron" and I take him/her as a symbol and reminder of my relationship with my HP. While looking for my heron at the last point I saw it (in the middle of the river atop a felled tree) what did I see? No, I did not see my heron, I saw a pair of Bald Eagles!!!!! I couldn't believe it! I practically ran home to tell AH and daughter and I told everyone I passed on my way, a construction crew working on a house, a stranger walking his dog. AMAZING!!! There are no coincidences. It too was a great day. They are the things memories are made of, the stuff of life.

You know what I have learned? I used to think the little things were trivial because I was dealing with someone else's MONSTEROUS problems. It took me a long time to be able to talk about daily minutia but now I realize that is the way life is supposed to be. No chaos and tragedy on a regular basis, just daily stuff. I'm glad it's been a good day for you. Mine have been balanced good and bad the past few but I know they will be all good soon.
LoL,,,,you made me laugh when I read your post with all your "yay's". but isnt it wonderful when things fall into place, when you are expecting trials and tribulations? These type of things when they happen are few and far between, so sharing it with others is a great idea. Thanks for the post.
