Am back from Anchorage and had a great time. Although it's such a loooooong trip. 12 hrs from my door step to hubby's. I don't want to do it again for a while. It was after 1 a.m my time when we got there, but only 10:00 there and broad daylight..lol That's so weird. It never does get dark. Just kind of dusky.
Hubby had a bunch of fun stuff planned for us. We went to the top of Mt. Alyeska in a tram. It's a ski resort, 1500 ft. up. On the top is two restaurants. I took this pic on the way up. That's the Alyeska Hotel/Resort below. After we got up there I just couldn't imagine skiing down it!!! No bunny hills there! This is what it looked like standing at the top and overlooking the other side. We also went on a 5 hr. cruise around the Kenai Penninsula. The weather was great. Sunny and about 72 degrees. We stayed one night in a lake cabin about 3 hrs away from Anchorage and had fun kyaking. We got to see a lot of float planes take off and land on the lake. It only has a road on one side so if people want to get to their homes on the other side they either fly in or canoe across. I found this pretty amusing too. People were building across the lake and this is how they get their equipment and all materials there.
A wonderful time was had by all The End...
gotta hurry off, it's Def Leppard and Styx concert night. Yeesh, I'm gonna hit the wall pretty soon and drop..lol

Gorgeous pictures. I always say so much to do is this beautiful good ole US of A, no need for me to venture any further. What an amazing story of recovery for you and your hubby. Imagine what you all would have missed.
You go girl!!!! Have a wonderful time at your concert (I know you will). Tim and Faith are in town and am trying to figure out how I can get tickets at the last minute for their show.

Okay the pictures are gorgeous! Glad you had a great time. As for going up on the tram, I'd rather hike. I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to heights. I'd be clinging very tight to hubby and definitely not looking down. I'd don't mind flying, but the thought of cables being the only thing holding me up: YIKES! I like my feet planted firmly on the ground or in the water.
