I have tried, multiple times, to cut and paste today's article from Yahoo! writer David Bach, aka "The Automatic Millionare," however, no dice. Today's article has two critical subjects in it that I know concern many of our readers and members: an earlier article he wrote, "6 ways to avoid foreclosure," and today's article, "Adjusting to higher mortgage payments." No surprise, Bach emphasizes if you are having problems paying your bills, call your lender immediately! Bach expresses that mortages, utilities, and all the other bills we pay are a part of "businesses" and "businesses" have "policies," which include late fees. By being pro active, Bach emphasizes, other policies that the institutions have can be utilized for your benefit, and that way a) you can be considered a client and bill payer of good standing, and b) you can feel better about your financial situation. It's relieving to be reminded, every so often, that many of "our" problems aren't unique to "us;" they're everyone's problems! The articles can be accessed from Yahoo's! main page, or from finance.yahoo.com
