Right now things in my life are "good" ... I've been keeping busy, enjoying the sun and sand, enjoying my children, family and friends. And even enjoying the company of my ex A.
Although I am not diving back into a relationship with my ex A b/f, we have been spending time together "as friends". Not a ton of time, but we see each other maybe once or twice a week. We talk almost every day though. We truly enjoy one anothers company and are keeping things light. Neither one of us is ready to make a commitment to the other. For now we are simply friends and once in a while we could be labeled as "friends with benefits" LOL There are no ties tho for either of us. I will admit though I dont think he is "with" anyone else.
Although things now, at this very moment are wonderful between us, I know I can't let my guard down 100% for the simple fear of being hurt again by him (emotionally)
Time will tell where things will go. I have no expectations, nor does he. Right now we are enjoying a friendship without all the drama that used to be in our lives when he was drinking. I am VERY proud to say that he is still sober, he can be around people that are drinking (not excessively) and it doesnt bother him. He actually laughs now at how ridiculous some people act that cant handle their alcohol consumption.
Time will tell what's in store for us... If we are meant to be friends, I will welcome that with open arms...

And I'm glad you have settled into a nondramatic and pleasant relationship with your ABF.
Goes to show that we just don't know what HP has in store for us? It's like a failure of imagination, or something. For me (I don't have the blessing of my A's sobriety tho), I can only imagine maybe two or three "outcomes" . . . but your post illustrates there are ever so many more than the ones my dinky little codep mind can think of. Thanks for sharing and checking in with us again!!
(((Jersey))) Glad things are going well for both of you. You sound like you have a healthy realistic attitude about your relationship and recovery. It's a good example of Letting Go and Letting God work it out. Keep going girl.
Peace and Hugs, Twinmom~
