I haven't been here for a few weeks. My daughter got real angry, and moved out for about a month. after crying for days and missing work, life was more relaxed here. I felt guilty! My other kids were more at ease and it felt like home again. The place she was staying had no hot water, so she did come by every 5 days or so to shower. She had dropped out of school before this, (college) or I should say on paper flunked out since she just stopped going and never withdrew. Anyhow she now has been fired from her job, she's had this for almost 2 years. She had to pick up the boyfriend, he was always fighting with the people they were staying with, so she was always late, took too long of breaks and ate food there without paying. So now she moved back, and I am completely burned out, it's all I can think about. I need to do this that, get her a job, blah, blah , blah of course I am saying all this not her. She is doing nothing, not looking for a job, just says I know, I'm already feeling the resuts of losing my job, you don't need to tell me. I have other kids, and I hate this. If she has no insurance, can she get in for treatment, if she ever agrees to? I did finally get to a face to face meeting, and it was great. I just don't know, do I kick her out to the streets, I don't think I can at this point.. Thanks for letting me vent, I am soooo tired, I am losing sleep over it all. I even have to lock stuff up because I don't trust her, I hate that to. thanks all for listening.
Glad you were able to go to a f2f meeting - Hope that you will be able to continue attending those meetings, reading the literature, posting here and reaching out for help.
Sounds like a very tough situation. I would suggest possibly reading some info on boundary setting and consequences of crossing those boundaries. This might give you some direction on what might help your situation.
I know for me, setting boundaries and consequences of crossing those boundaries has helped me be able to have a healthier relationship with the As in my life.
Wishing you & your household peace, Rita

Gimmpy, I wouldn't presume to give advice, but I can sympathize with you. So glad you went to f2f, and if you keep going perhaps you will find answers. Meanwhile, we understand. pw
