Well, I made it to my Martial Arts belt testing Saturday. My daughter and I are now official Green Belts. My son is already a Red Belt. AND on top of that, we were awarded the "Family of the Month" award. So as exhausting as the entire day was, it was very uplifting. :)
congrats on your green belt oth of yas my daughter and i r both blk belts tho gave it up after that due to ill health it takes a lot of work n determination so well done meth on feet work good lol
THANKS EVERYONE. I REALLY ENJOY MARTIAL ARTS....MAY EVEN START WORKING TOWARDS BEING A AN INSTRUCTOR. HMMM. WE'LL SEE. I THINK SEEING THE KIDS MAKING PROGRESS IS THE MOST FUN OF ALL. :)
LOl when I first read you post title I thought you were expressing your advancement in Alanon, and here you are a truly a green belt in Martial Arts! My daughter achieved her black belt at the age of 14 in Karate. I think the dicipline, stamina, and drive is good for anyone, plus the fact that being a female she can protect herself if need be. Congratulations to you! Keep up the good work!
What martial arts style do you and your kids study? I study Washin Ryu and have been studying it for 5 years. I am a purple belt - in Washin Ryu that is 2 belts away from black!
LOL LANCHAS - I MAY BE A GREEN BELT AND CAN DO THE MOVES BUT OUTSIDE OF THAT, I CANNOT REMEMBER A DANG THING. WHEN YOU SAY "STYLE", DO YOU MEAN TAE KWON DO? I DO KNOW THERE ARE SO MANY DIFFERENT FORMS OUT THERE.
THE BELT COLORS ARE: WHITE - BEGINNER YELLOW GREEN PURPLE BLUE BLUE W/BROWN STRIPE BROWN BROWN W/RED STRIPE RED RED W/BLACK STRIPE 1/2 RED, 1/2 BLACK - DEPUTY BLACK BELT BLACK BELT
I THINK THAT IS ALL OF THEM. ALL I KNOW IS I LOVE IT.
Yea I mean like Tae Kwon Do - is that your style? The belts for my style are:
White Yellow Orange Green Blue Purple Brown -level 3 -level 2 -level 1 Black -level 1 -level 2 -level 3 -level 4 -level 5 -....i think it goes up to at least level 10 for black belt
