Hello friends It's been quite a while since I've posted. I do visit and read new posts often, even if I don't always respond. I'm still around!
I wanted to give you all a quick update. If you've been following along... you know that I left and divorced my A/Cocaine addict husband. The divorce was final in March (finally!). It was a very difficult decision and process to go through. I ended up leaving the house that I loved, and was forced to put it up for sale (and it still hasn't sold). I've been living in a nearby town with my mother since I left my husband in September. It's not been easy, but it's working out okay and I feel safe and secure here.
I recently met someone new. I wasn't looking or expecting to meet anyone anytime soon. I wasn't even sure I wanted to start dating yet, but when I met this person, I couldn't pass up the chance to get to know him better. It turns out that we have a lot in common. He knows all about what I've been through (and am still going through)... and he didn't turn and run the other way! We've known each other for about 2 months now and things are going great. I only see him once a week usually, since he lives in another town, about 45 minutes from here. He's not an alcoholic, he only drinks occasionally. He's self-employed, he works hard, he has many interests and hobbies, and has his own home. I'm not rushing into anything... just enjoying my time with him and taking it slow.
Thanks to all of you for the support you've shown me here. Even though I'm not having to deal with my A ex-H on a regular basis anymore, I still feel the need to come back here and read, share and help where I can.
Love, Artygirl

You are very wise not to rush this artygirl. But have a good time, and enjoy the company of this new person in your life. You deserve to have some fun.

I think it's great that you are getting on with your life. It can be so easy to hide under a rock. Glad you are taking things slow. It's good to protect your heart. Here's hoping life gives you a wonderful life.
Love and blessings to you and your family.
