Hello. I'm a college freshman at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and I'm writing a paper on the effects of alcoholic parents on children. After growing up with an alcoholic mother myself, this is a topic of special interest for me. I've prepared a survey to help with my paper, and if any of you would be willing to take it and share your experiences, it would be greatly appreciated. Personally I feel you are soliciting information and I would like to caution anyone giving out their personal thoughts and feelings.
I'm terribly sorry if I am violating any rules. I only wanted to gather some information from others who have had similar experience to those that I have had. I want to be able to give an accurate picture of the effects that these experiences have had on people for my paper. It is a very personal topic that I am quite passionate about. I don't want people to share anything that they are uncomfortable sharing, since I know that these matters can be quite difficult to talk about, and I do not want anyone to feel pressured into sharing anything. Everything is anonymous, and none of the questions are required.

This is exactly what I was hoping would not happen. Your posts can be searched by bots or third parties that have no affiliation with the administrator of this forum. Again I urge members to be cautious with what information you give out in a public forum.
