One of my closest guy friends, Eric, shot himself last night. There were no signs... I haven't even really had a chance to talk to him since I left school months ago...Every once in a while, we'd talk on the phone, and he even came to visit the kids after the twins were born. He never led on any indication that he was upset...He was teased alot, looked at as a geek, and put down constantly...but at the same time, he was the nicest guy, involved in everything with music...and most of all, he took everything, with a huge smile on his face...Why does this kind of thing happen to the least deserving ppl??? Idk, anyways, in honor of Eric M., please send your prayers to his family, friends, and the rest of the people at my school...
So sorry to hear of the loss of Eric. My thoughts and prayers to his family and friends. You are all left to wonder why, and that is a question that will probably never be really answered. Take care.
I had a friend of mine take her life when we were young. There is no telling what troubles someone enough to do that. Some seemingly average people have ghosts and are just better at hiding them.
My prayers are with you and him and all who love him.
Take care of you!

I am sorrry for your loss. I am also sorry your friend never got help. There is help when one is suicidal. I think sometimes its hard to get but there is help.
One never knows why these things happen. It happened to my uncle as well a coworker. Both were shocking. I guess the only thing we can do is say a prayer for his family and yours as you deal with this tragedy. Remember none of this was your fault or theirs. Unfortunately if they are in that much pain and really want to go through with it they will. Not much comfort in a time like this I know. But may it give you and their family a small bit of comfort. Remember the good in him and he is finally at peace.
Love and blessings to their family and yours.
Live strong, Karilynn

It's your life. Take no prisoners. You will have it your way.
I am so very sorry to hear this tragic news about your friend, Eric. My heart goes out so much to his parents and family as well as his friends. It is inevitable that people will imagine that he suffered silently for a possibly long period of time before he died but this is not necessarily the case, actually this decision to take one's own life can be made in an instant - a permanent solution to a temporary problem. I would encourage you and his other friends to write to his parents, letting them know the qualities and events that you appreciated Eric for, as I know these letters will be of huge comfort to them. His parents, as I am sure you realise, will be in the most terrible state of shock, possibly for some time and the tidal wave of difficult feelings will stay with them a long, long time as they search for an answer to 'Why, why why?'. In time it will very likely be a huge comfort to his parents to have contact with his close friends so, although they may well be unable to cope with very much at all in the coming days and weeks I would also encourage his close friends to stay in touch with them.
I lost my son over two years ago - he took his own life - and the pain is as alive today as the day he died.
Much love to you Miranda. I will light a candle for Eric and his family.
Mira, My deepest sympathy to you and Eric's family and other friends. I am so very sorry. I'm sure there was nothing you could have done to prevent it, much as you wish otherwise. Your friend, ms wp aka pw
