I have a black cloud of depression hanging right behind me. I don't know why, there's really nothing wrong. I can feel a sinus infection coming on, it's making me drowsy and slow. I know this feeling, and if I don't do something I'm going to slip into this hole and stay there for I don't know how long. There are things to do and I don't have energy. I don't want to take the kids to thier meetings tonight, I want to just go to bed. Not even coffee can help. The whole day has been like this, in the class I take, the energy is missing. This class has actually been fun for the last few weeks, and now it is getting bla. I almost feel left out of the group. There are seven of us and we all get along pretty well. I do very well while others struggle. The A is still drinking, but no drammatic scenes (knocking on wood). We have been getting along better since I have been trying to detach. Probably because his drinking goes unchecked bit I will take him hiding with his beer over me fighting about his beer any day. I work at a nursing center, and think about it all the time. I guess maybe I need something to get into. Still semi-depressed Jamie

Some days are just like that. Just keep it in check. If it keeps up then you should probably talk to your doctor. Maybe something is a bit out of whack. It's okay to give yourself a break. We don't always have to be chipper like Kathi Lee! Maybe an extra bit of TLC to yourself will do the trick. Here's hoping you get out of it. There is always light at the end of the tunnel. You just have to keep on walking toward it.
Love and blessings to you and your family.
Live strong, Karilynn & Pipers Kitty

Hi, thanks everyone, I am feelng a little better. Writing about it is a great preemptive strike. Most of my problem came from a cold that came on really heavy last night. Hope it gets better, I have evening shift tonight! Time to do something for myself eh...? Alright, one apricot scented bubble bath coming up! Still trying to find a way to get to the Saturday meeting, it is in the next town over, and I'm not driving yet.... Thanks With love Jamie

So glad to see you back and better, and I love the picture of the bubble bath girl! How cute. On Friday I was feeling the same, just felt pretty blah, and actually very moody and ready to sob, really depressed. Then, I got up today, got myself to a Weight Watchers meeting (beginning again to lose this additional 20 lbs - I lost almost 30 last year and don't ever want to go back to that weight I was at!) - then took the dog for a walk and I ran a little with him, I feel much better.
I was thinking to myself, it is essential to exercise to feel better, it just is. I don't know what your time schedule is or your physical abilities are but it does help your mood. I am going to try to make it a point to do something for 30 minutes a day, even if it is small, just for exercise. Because we are worth it!
