though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though
everything is a miracle." Albert Einstein (1879-1955)
I recieved this quote in an email from my sponsor yesterday. You know, just the very existance of this program and the fact that my HP drug me here kicking and screaming is a miracle.
My life is so far from perfect, but I have much to be thankful for.
I could focus on the fact that I am still seperated from my wife, whom I love. I could focus on what she says and does to shame or guilt me into moving my boundries to suit her. I could go over and over in my head all the ways in the past that I feel I have been wronged or mistreated by all this, but would I be alert enough to see the miracles?
Before I came here, I had forgotten how to see the miracle in all that's around me. I have no intention of loosing that again. And it takes practice. For me seeing the miracles means I have to actively look for them. They are everywhere like the leaves on the trees, but if I do look up during my walks, I don't see them either.
I hope everyone has a day full of miracles.
Take care of you!

"Time is a gift, not a curse." "I am not inherently flawed." "May I always be patient, for I am on the right path."
I read those in my meditation books, and I wrote them on my mirror. I've been struggling especially with these concepts. The idea that I'm a child of God has entered my subconscious has stuck--now when I have the nightmares about being raped, I scream, kick, and say "No! You can't do that! It's illegal! I'll tell on you! I'll call the police! They'll take you away! And I won't change my story this time! You can't touch me like that!" That took a long, long time. And so much pain. Because I still want what I want when I want it. And of course, RIGHT NOW! I think, though my favorite quote, and I have no idea who said it, is "Great ideas have always been challenged by mediocer minds." (I think that's how it goes?)
I think for me it is just a general feeling of joy most of the time. I don't feel like I'm living under a cloud anymore. I notice everything, the beauty in things and feel exhilirated. I don't know if that's the miracle you're talking about but I sure am happy!
You always brighten my day or night. That happens to be one of my favorite quotes. Thanks for making me smile. Love and blessings to you and your family.

It's your life. Take no prisoners. You will have it your way.
You are so right. For too many years I replayed the times I was wronged in the past, almost as if they justified how I was living in the present. I am now appreciating all that is around me, the wonders of nature, all the happy times...and indeed the absolute MIP that I am, that my life is...
Thank you for your reminder. We are much stronger together (all of us) than we are seperate.
