It's been a while since I posted and just wanted to say that everything is going well. Life feels normal - as close to that as it's ever been I guess. I look forward to the weekends and never have to worry about what might happen. I still talk to my A husband and take the kids to see him here and there. He pays support here and there. I guess the only bad thing is that he usually tries to talk about us getting back together and I just don't want to go there - possibly ever again. We are civil, he doesn't really have anything to hold over my head now. He's clean and sober from what I can tell - I don't really pay attention to that or care about it anymore. I had been seriously considering moving back to Washington and staying with my mom to pay off some bills but have decided to hold out and see if I can make it here. It's nice not having to worry about what the next major catastrophe will be and how I'm going to fix it or pay for it! Things are simple now.
You are a few steps ahead of me in life it appears. You are an inspiration to me. If you can do it, so can I.
I just sold my house w/my AH and moved into a smaller one. My AH used the move, along w/the death of his grandfather as an excuse to go on a binder. He was gone for a few days. He showed back up at my house Saturday night to sleep it off. When I say my house, I mean literally - "MY HOUSE". I bought it on my own. I of course had to use the small amount of profit we made off of the last house as a down payment but I figured my AH has smoked up his share over the past few years anyway so it was mine to spend.
In any event....I am at a major turning point. Do I allow him to stay w/me & sleep on my couch and make another attempt at getting a job and getting his life back together or do I tell him to hit the road? Hmm. Who knows. I reckon it will hit me as to what I should do.
